Cllctivly is a social change organization empowering Black-led initiatives by fostering collaboration, amplifying voices, and mobilizing resources across Greater Baltimore.

Baltimore’s streets have always been paved with mutual aid. This is a city where ancestral genius is not only remembered, but carried forward where solidarity replaces charity, and wisdom guides how we invest in one another.

CLLCTIVLY reflects this Baltimore. Across generations from African rotating credit circles and benevolent societies to community kitchens and today’s organizers we continue the practice of nurturing our collective liberation.

CLLCTIVLY's Story

In 2015 after the death of Freddie Gray, a coalition of grassroots activists and concerned citizens came together to form Baltimore United for Change. In the days following the Uprising we launched a skills bank to create an “on ramp” for concerned community members that wanted to serve. Over 260 individuals and organizations answered the call.

Mapped 200 Black-led organizations

We launched our education program, providing access to quality education for all..

2020

Launched the Baltimore Black-led Solidarity Fund

The Launch of Baltimore Black-led Solidarity Fund in response to COVID-19 and the murder of George Floyd..

2021

The Expand of Black Future

Expanded Black Futures Micro-Grants and strengthened CLLCTIVLY's role as a trusted hub for collaboration..

2022

We Give Black fest launch

Hosted the inaugural We Give Black Fest and launched 28 Days of Black Futures as a narrative platform..

2023

CONNECT cohort launch

Launched the CONNECT cohort and surpassed $1 million through CLLCTIVGIVE..

2024

Drs. Elmer + Joanne Martin Social Impact Fellowship

Launched the Drs. Elmer + Joanne Martin Social Impact Fellowship and continued growing 28 Days of Black Futures..

2025

Raised over $1 million through CLLCTIVGIVE

Directed $2.3 million into the Black social economy and raised over $1 million through CLLCTIVGIVE for the third consecutive year..

How We Work

Through the reclamation of stories, the deepening of knowledge, and the strategic allocation of resources, CLLCTIVLY builds regenerative ecosystems that support collective liberation. Founded to amplify and sustain Black-led social change organizations, we operate as a resource-sharing and narrative-shifting platform rooted in Black genius and innovation.

Across our work, CLLCTIVLY fosters collaboration, mobilizes capital, and invests in community-driven solutions advancing social change in Greater Baltimore. Since our inception, we have supported more than 250 organizations, distributed over $7 million in direct funding, and mobilized resources to strengthen Black-led initiatives. CLLCTIVLY is a fiscally sponsored project of Possibility Labs.

The Approach

We create space for collective imagination honoring ancestral intelligence while envisioning liberated futures. Through learning, convening, and cultural practice, we cultivate shared values and expand what’s possible.

We mobilize resources through trust-based, participatory practices that honor time, talent, and treasure. Our approach centers community wisdom, shared decision-making, and collective care beyond traditional charity.

We build narrative power by lifting stories of Black genius, joy, and collective strength reshaping dominant narratives and amplifying community-led solutions.

Jamye Wooten

Jamye Wooten is a design leader working at the intersection of philanthropy and movement building. Rooted in Baltimore, his work spans the globe, strengthening community-rooted organizations by building shared infrastructure and shifting narratives to advance community self-determination and collective imagination..

Chief Operating Officer

Krystle Starvis

Krystle is dedicated to social change, emphasizing local collaboration to promote racial equity and support Black-led organizations. At CLLCTIVLY, she focuses on creating sustainable ecosystems that offer capital, community care, and storytelling for underrepresented groups.
